Statins Found To Enhance Immunotherapy Drugs

A study conducted at Universita Politecnica delle Marche in Ancona, Italy reported that treatment with drugs such as Opdivo and Keytruda –– considered a major breakthrough in recent years –– can be enhanced with the addition of statins.

In the study, patients receiving high-intensity statins in combination with Opdivo experienced dramatic improvement in overall response rate, progression-free survival and median overall survival.
