Talc Supplier Settles Suit Mid-Trial

Whittaker Clark & Daniels Inc., talc suppliers, has reached a deal to end a California teacher’s suit alleging her mesothelioma was a result of the asbestos-tainted talc it supplied to makers of talcum powder. The retired teacher who brought the suit claimed her malignant mesothelioma was caused by asbestos hidden in body powders she used for decades. The settlement amount remains confidential.

However, just days before the same defendant was ordered to pay $4.8 million to another California asbestos victim.
