Here’s what The American Cancer Society reports:

For those who are diagnosed with mesothelioma and for their loved ones, it’s comforting to know that
“scientists are looking for better ways to prevent, diagnose, and treat mesothelioma, as well as find it before it causes problems,” says the American Cancer Society (ACS).

Because it is relatively rare, says ACS, mesothelioma is hard to study. Experts agree that treatment in a clinical trial should be considered for any state of mesothelioma.
